Korg has released the Nu:Tekt NTS-4 performance mixer. Korg says it delivers the Nu:Tekt series vibe to a compact kit that the Japanese concern claims is designed for today’s hardware setups. With six channels, two mono and four stereo minijacks, built-in effects and USB connectivity, the NTS-4 was created essentially to mix and perform with Volca units, NTS instruments, modular gear, and other desktop synths in one place, supporting up to 10 audio signals in a single setup.

Designed to sit alongside the Volca series and other compact instruments, the NTS-4, housed in a steel chassis, is suited for small hardware setups that need a dedicated performance mixer. It features six channels (four stereo and two mono), making it easy to combine synths, drum machines, and modular gear in a single, streamlined setup. An internal attenuator can be switched between line level and modular level, allowing the mono inputs to integrate directly with Eurorack systems. Dedicated stereo Send and Return connections also make it easy to incorporate external effects into your signal chain. To ensure reliable connections in any environment, the main outputs use standard 1/4″ phone jacks.

The NTS-4 includes two independent stereo effects engines designed for performance and sound shaping. Each channel features a dedicated SEND FX control for effects such as delay, reverb, and chorus, with a TOTAL FX engine on the master output, with processing such as filters, modulation, drive, and compression to shape and unify the overall mix.
Each channel also includes CUE and MUTE buttons. The CUE system lets you monitor a channel privately through headphones before bringing it into the mix, while the MUTE buttons allow for quick cuts and dramatic breaks. These hands-on controls make the NTS-4 well suited for live performance and real-time mixing.
