Weekend Fun: Organic Robot Art
Korean Choe U-Ram creates robotic artwork. At a recent show, entitled Anima Machines, Ram displayed several organic pieces that not only showcase compelling craftmanship, but also move in unexpected, yet natural ways.
Some of the artwork actually “senses” the proximity of viewers and reacts accordingly, which enhances the earthy presence. Other works, like the LED motivated flowers respond to each other’s actions. Words certainly don’t do Choe’s work justice so check out the video for yourself…
