Antelope Audio has premiered the third generation of their Orion 32+ computer audio interface. The interface features new AD/DA converters that claim to be capable of up to 129 dB dynamic range alongside Antelope Audio’s 64-bit AFC (Acoustically Focused Clocking) technology and jitter management algorithm.
Offering low-latency recording and playback of up to 64 simultaneous 24-bit/192kHz audio channels via Thunderbolt and up to 32 audio channels over USB, Antelope Audio’s works on both the Mac and PC. The Orion 32+ | Gen 3 comes with a complimentary suite of effects, each running in real- time on the FPGA (Field Programmable Gate Array) platform. Six effects are included: Clear Q linear EQ, AuraVerb, Master De-Esser, PowerFFC, and PowerGate. Additional effects can be purchased from Antelope Audio’s library.
A pair of Word Clock outputs (WC OUT) turn the Orion32+ | Gen 3 into a master clock fit for any user’s studio setup, while a 10MHz input (10M IN) allows it to be used with supreme stability using Antelope Audio’s 10MX Rubidium Atomic Clock. Within the confines of its single rack space-occupying rear panel, Orion32+ | Gen 3’s connectivity features 8x DB25 connectors for analog I/O alongside 2x ADAT, 1x MADI, and 1x S/PDIF digital connections.
Antelope Audio’s Orion32+ | Gen 3 is available now for $2,595.
