Waldorf Music has released Crema Ensemble, a compact polyphonic string and pad Synthesizer in a desktop format. Based on the Streichfett architecture, it combines string-machine sounds with wavetable, FM and virtual-analog synthesis across two engines, Texture and Lines.
Texture offers 24 sound types spanning strings, 17 wavetables and six FM configurations. Its string section covers violin, viola, cello, brass, organ and choir sounds, processed through the Streichfett Ensemble effect. Lines is an eight-voice virtual-analog engine with two detunable sawtooth or pulse oscillators, plus stereo tremolo, vibrato and pulse-width modulation.
