Zen Delay Virtual Is About Experimenting, Mutating & Mashing Sounds
For the Zen Delay Virtual the Ninja Tune and Erica Synths teamed up with VCV code warrior Raphael Hoffman to create a powerful effects plug-in with even more possibilities. Like the hardware version, Zen Delay Virtual is about experimenting, mutating and mashing sounds, but for more use in the studio setting.
There are many enhancements to the software version, aside from complete automation. The new LFO page breathes surprising rhythmic animation to life, controlling Filter and Delay, allowing chorus effect, drones and constantly evolving experimentation thanks to the FM and AM controls.
Zen Delay Virtual’s preset manager allows you to save your own effect settings and comes with a selection of presets from Mijk van Dijk, Nerk from TokTok, Dr Walker of Air Liquide, Indian electronic artist Kiss Nuka and others. The groove timings of the various triplets and dotted delay times were requested by many Zen Delay hardware users and we implemented those ideas in the plug-in.
Unlike the hardware version, it’s also possible to change the routing between the delay and filter stages, even inserting the filter within the feedback loop.
Reforestation project by the Liquid Sky artist collective
For every license sold, Ingmar Koch will plant one five-year old oak tree to support the reforestation project by the Liquid Sky artist collective in southern Portugal and will be cared for until the tree can survive by itself…or Koch runs out of his own person brand of fertilizer.
