Wren
From our Wren review: Let’s just get this over with right from the start, the WREN Audio V5 AP (AirPlay) is the best WiFi/Airplay sound box we’ve ever tested and not only did it receive our Power Award, but it has also secured a spot in our coveted Gear Of The Year selections for 2013.
Pretty much says it all and now you have a chance to win this extraordinary sound system.
Music Courses
Music Courses is giving away their new Mastering with Ableton Live 9 course. This course achieves what no one thought was possible, mastering using only the devices that come with Ableton Live 9. Producertech tutor Nick D’Ombrain, owner of Zeitgeist Mastering, has created 8 hours of quality tutorials to show you how you can achieve incredible results.
Accompanying the tutorials is a Live Template Set, containing a giant Mastering Rack, a written Pro Tips Guide, a Mastering Flow Diagram and 8 Custom Mastering Weapons (Live Racks), which include an Aphex-style Exciter, a Bass Maximiser and various Stereo Enhancement Effects.
V-MODA
Winner of the 2013 Gear Of The Year Award in the Headphone category, V-MODA’s Crossfade M-100’s are, simply put, stellar. V-Moda developed the M-100?s with input from DJs, musicians and audiophiles to create an aural colorization that would play nice with most forms of contemporary music, but it appears DJs had the most influence in the decision making process.
As with other V-Moda products, there is an obsessive attention to detail. Everything from the construction materials, to the color palette, to the customizable side plates to the protective case to the awesome accessories – the M-100?s may be 300 beans, but you see, feel and hear every dollar spent. As reviewer Chaylin Thomas stated: “I’m blown away by the attention to detail on every level. It’s obvious that V-Moda examined every facet of the Crossfade M-100?s design to ensure that they would exceed expectations.” And boy did they!
