Report: Beatles Set To Announce £200 Million iTunes Deal

The UK’s Daily Mail is reporting that Paul McCartney has agreed in principle to licensing the Beatle’s entire catalog to iTunes for £200 million.

The Daily asserts that the agreement is being used to “cushion Sir Paul from the effects of his multi-million pound divorce from Heather Mills.” Pure speculation of course, but maybe something that pushed the “Cute One” into action.

The deal is said to be finalized sometime this spring with the official launch taking place throughout 2008. We’ve heard this all before, but hopefully an official announcement will be made shortly.
