Roland is setting up their #909Day celebration as one of their biggest single day product launches ever. Spanning twenty-four hours, the event will unleash 30 new products and Roland’s new Cloud service. Included in the rollout will be V-Moda’s new Bluetooth speaker and Roland’s new DJ mixer. However, there will be new synthesizers, new Boss gear and much more.
We certainly like Roland’s approach to this pre-holiday gear rollout and are eager to learn more about their collaborations with V-Moda, Serato and possibly others that were hinted out in our interview with V-Moda’s CEO, Val Kolton. #909Day comes on the heels of Apple’s new iPhone 7, Apple Watch mkII and AirPods product announcements yesterday. As wireless seems to be where everyone in the technology business is heading as of late, we’re wondering if Roland is also willing to “cut the cord” with some of their new gear, enabling the DJ to come out of the booth and interact more fully with the crowd.
