Dreamtonics has unveiled Vocoflex, their AI-powered voice creation and transformation plug-in for Mac and PC.
Vocoflex reportedly works by with either two methodologies. One way is by analyzing imported vocals and turning them into a curve. Dreamtonics recommends un-processed, high-resolution files to limit artifacts. Each dot on the curve represents a small chunk taken from the input file. By manipulating the dots on the curve, you can transform the vocal. The other manner is to generate a New Voice and then use the X/Y Pad to customize the gender. You can change the timbre by randomizing the hue.

- Control voices via MIDI – add way points to curves and map each to your MIDI controller’s buttons, knobs or sliders for more tactile movement between voices vs using a mouse.
