The Xkey 25 and Xkey 37 mobile MIDI controller keyboards are now engineered with a more stable USB-C connection and their full-sized keys now offer polyphonic aftertouch. Integrated smart buttons provide access to Modulation and Sustain functions. In addition, the Xkey 37 sports an adapter cable for 5-pin MIDI Out, as well as connections for Expression and Sustain pedals. Why the Xkey 25 doesn’t have this as well is a mystery.

But both Xkey 25 and Xkey 37 include licenses for Bitwig’s Bitwig Studio 8-Track DAW (Digital Audio Workstation) and Steinberg’s WaveLab LE, a mastering and audio editing software, as well as Steinberg’s Cubasis LE for iOS. In addition, Xkey 25 and Xkey 37 users gain access to controller editing software, enabling customization of the MIDI controller keyboard’s parameters, plus ESI’s MIDI driver for Windows.
