Adam Audio is now shipping their new T5V and T7V studio monitors. According to Adam, the T series of nearfield monitors are designed specifically for engineers, sound designers, DJs and musicians.
Accommodating a 5″ and 7″ woofer respectively, both the T5V and the T7V feature HPS waveguides, which claim to project sound with high accuracy and precision, while the newly developed U-ART tweeter works to prevent hearing fatigue during long studio sessions. Both speakers incorporate an angled housing design to prevent edge diffraction artifacts, DSP-controlled frequency splitters and equalizers as well as analog connections (XLR/RCA).
The U-ART tweeter’s air velocity ratio of 4:1 combines with the new Class D amplifier’s dynamic response to generate maximum SPL levels of 106 and 110 dB. On the rear side of the beveled cabinet, a rear-firing bass reflex port joins a metal backplate that contains the analog input connections. The U-ART tweeter is powered by a 20 W Class-D amp, while a 50 W Class-D amp serves the woofer.
