Wave Arts Updates Older Version 4 Plug-ins For Intel Macs (Universal Binary)
Wave Arts has updated the last generation (version 4) of their TrackPlug 4, MasterVerb 4 and WaveSurround 4 plug-ins for use in all Intel based Macintosh computers in the VST and Audio Unit formats. This is an interesting move in that Wave Arts nicely updated these same plug-ins to version 5 a while back.
Wave Arts substantiated this update by stating that “many users have found situations where they enjoy the simplicity of using the older version 4 counterparts, compared to our more fully-featured version 5 lineup.” This is strange to us since we find the latest version to be far superior to version 4 with a beautifully updated interface, better presets and a more streamlined approach (see picture above).
