Telegrapher Speakers Announce Carbon Fox Monitors

Telegrapher has unveiled the Carbon Fox, a new, carbon-fiber reference monitor, engineered specifically for live sound professionals, touring engineers, and demanding production environments.

Carbon Fox is an evolution of Telegrapher’s original Fox monitor, re-engineered with a fully carbon-fiber enclosure using constrained-layer damping (CLD) technology. The result is a lighter, stiffer, and more inert cabinet that preserves the trusted Fox reference while standing up to the rigors of life on the road.

The Carbon Fox enclosure is built entirely from carbon fiber using constrained-layer damping, resulting in a 30% reduction in weight while dramatically increasing rigidity. This construction minimizes panel vibration and stored energy, allowing the drivers to operate without cabinet-induced coloration. Considering the heft, of their current lineup, and something we noted in our Telegrapher Gorilla S Studio Monitors Review, we asked Emre Telci, Telegrapher’s CEO, how the new Carbon Fox tackled dampening.

“Carbon fiber is very stiff, but on its own it can ring and create resonances. To control this, we use a sandwich structure called constrained-layer damping (CLD). There are two carbon-fiber layers with an elastic material in between,” Telci reveals. “When the enclosure vibrates, this middle layer absorbs and dissipates the vibration, turning it into heat. This greatly reduces resonance and unwanted ringing, while keeping the strength of carbon fiber.”

The new carbon construction delivers a 30% reduction in weight…

Carbon Fox retains Telegrapher’s pure analog signal path, including fully analog crossovers refined through extensive tuning to ensure driver integration, high headroom and low distortion.

Carbon Fox was developed directly from real-world use by Marc Carolan, front-of-house engineer for international touring acts including Muse and Snow Patrol, who has traveled extensively with Foxes as his reference monitors.

Carbon Fox is available in matte and glossy finishes. The matte version offers a subtle, studio-focused appearance, while the glossy finish highlights the carbon-fiber structure for a more expressive, high-contrast look. Both finishes share identical construction and acoustic performance.

An optional protective grill is available, acoustically designed with a high open-area perforation pattern to preserve balance, clarity, and transient response while providing added protection for touring use.

Telegrapher’s Carbon Fox costs €4999.99 / $4999.99 and is available now.
