Native Instruments Release Glaze – Play Series Instrument

Native Instruments today released Glaze, an instrument for bringing glossy vocal flavors to pop, hip hop, R&B, and beyond. Originally developed for working and harmonising with vocalists in the studio, the first version of Glaze became a secret tool in Curtis “Sauce” Wilson and Rochad Holiday’s production workflow.

The duo teamed up with Native to develop the new Play Series offering after reaction from a tight-knit circle of producers and engineers encouraged them to make the instrument something everybody could use in their productions.

Native Instruments’ Play Series delivers quality, easy-to-use instruments in an accessible package. Each has a distinctive sound and character, offering a comprehensive selection of carefully-designed presets and focused controls for tweaking.

Alongside stacked chords, pads, plucks, and leads, Glaze sees the introduction of Riff and Runs. These presets match chopped vocals to a scale that can be combined to create original vocal parts within a track.

NI’s Glaze is available now for $49 / €49 / ¥6600 / £44
