Tascam has announced two new microphones, the TM-70 and TM-82. The TM-70 is a dynamic microphone for live broadcasts, podcasting, film dialogue and audio streaming. The TM-82 features a unidirectional cardioid pattern specifically suited for speech, vocals and acoustic instruments.
The TM-70 is designed as a unique hybrid of super-cardioid and dynamic elements, the TM-70 suppresses ambient noise and is tuned to the nuances of the human voice. With its distinctive directivity and a frequency range of 30 Hz to 20 kHz, this mic captures what it is aimed at and effectively emphasizes it. As a result, the user gets a clean, clear audio signal with first-class speech intelligibility. The Tascam TM-70 comes with a suspension shock-mount to reduce low-frequency rumble, a mic cable, and a table-top stand.

TASCAM TM-82 Microphone
The TM-82 features a unidirectional cardioid pattern specifically suited for speech, vocals and acoustic instruments. Thanks to a frequency range from 50 Hz to 20 kHz, it can be used for recordings and live performances. The cardioid pattern reduces the risk of feedback and TASCAM claims it produces a moderate proximity effect that can give vocals and other sound sources a particularly warm low-end. Furthermore, the microphone is easy to handle as it does not require phantom power.
