Novation has announced the third incarnation of the Launchpad Pro. With deeper Ableton Live integration and upgraded RGB pads, the Launchpad Pro mk3 claims to be the best Launchpad to date.
The Launchpad Pro 3 makes it even easier to launch clips and scenes, access mixer, device and transport controls, and quantize, duplicate and double, without having to touch your computer. With the built-in sequencer, you can chain virtual instruments and instantly print patterns to Clips using the Ableton Live integration. Novation also upgraded the large, velocity- and pressure-sensitive RGB pads. With Scale Mode, you can lock each pad to a specific musical key. Use Chord Mode to build harmonies, no matter how complex they get, all from your grid. Dynamic Note helps you play in-key basslines, melodies, chords and leads. Launchpad Pro will even know when you’re drumming and shows your drum rack on the grid.
Also built into the Launchpad Pro 3 is the four-track, 32-step sequencer. It features eight-note polyphony, pattern chaining and scenes that will help you create and trigger longer sequences. Plus, probability, mutation, sync rate and play order controls let your tracks evolve as you go. Use Scenes to connect patterns and assign them so you can easily build full songs.

The Launchpad Pro 3 is also compatible with MIDI software or hardware thanks to eight Custom Modes, which customize your mappings and MIDI control. It integrates into the setup you already have.
