Native Instruments Starts Off Hurricane Season With Nine New Products – Maschine Mikro, Komplete Kontrol A-Series, Traktor Kontrol S2, Massive X & More

Where do we start here? Native Instruments has unleashed a tsunami of new hardware and software products that will keep current fans and new customers alike very pumped into the new year. The torrent of new, upgraded and enhanced products, include the highly-anticipated Massive upgrade, which we can’t wait to get our hands on. The Maschine Mikro MkIII also looks incredibly attractive in a sleek, matte finish and big, “play me now!” pads in a package that ducks right into your backpack. NI also announced Traktor Pro 3, the next generation digital DJing software, featuring better sound quality, a refined interface and new ways to incorporate effects into your mix. But wait, there’s more…
Native Instruments Komplete Kontrol S88
Entry-level is one trend to notice in Native’s announcement today. Three of the hardware products, the aforementioned Mikro, the new Traktor Kontrol S2 and the new Komplete Kontrol A-Series are targeted towards consumers who want to dip their toes in the NI music ecosystem, without breaking the bank. A great strategy, especially for the upcoming holiday season, and great news for current Native users who may want a way to take their music production and DJing “on the road” while leaving their more expensive older siblings in the safety of their home studio. That said, NI didn’t leave the higher end of the market untouched with the MkIII version of their awesome S4 DJ controller, a new S88-key controller keyboard that looks simply awesome and puts the over-priced Nektar products to shame.

On the software side, the standout for electronic musicians has to be Massive X. Massive had a huge influence on this current generation of musicians and producers, helping to spawn Dubstep, Trap and other new genres that pushed the sound design envelope, as well as our ear drums. What has NI cooked up for the encore? Well, as far as demos are concerned there’s just not enough action to keep the thousands of fans who are clamoring for any nugget of information satisfied. But NI did produce this ultra-slick hype video for your viewing pleasure. The bad news? Massive won’t hit shelves until 2019. Sorry. Here’s a tissue.
Native Instruments Komplete12
Komplete 12 (which includes Massive X) is also set to debut this Fall. This is NI’s supremo bundle of sounds for your music creation pleasure, and there’s a LOT to chew on – 50 instruments and effects! The questions you now have to ask is…do I have enough hard drive space?

We’ll continue to report on all of Native’s new deliciousness in the next coming days, including a rundown of the new Mikro, which we just got our hands on. Stay tuned…
