Apogee Electronics has upgraded MiC, a USB microphone, to provide 96kHz, 24-bit fidelity for Windows and Mac. The MiC 96k claims to feature a wide dynamic range and the preamp and A/D converter are designed to record the true tone of acoustic instruments, as well as vocals.
However, where the MiC 96k will mostly find its biggest audience is for voiceovers and podcasts. With USB connectivity, the MiC 96k simplifies the recording process for voiceovers, podcasts and interviews.
