Scientists Turn Soundwaves Into Electromagnetic Energy

Scientists in Japan and Germany claim to be able to convert soundwave energy into electromagnetic energy. The experiment traps a magnetic spin current between metal layers. Via the contraption below, when sound waves are projected at a device between the thin metal layer and magnetic material, electrical signals are generated at a pair of electrodes attached above. When the soundwaves reach the magnetic material, a spin current is created.
