Sony Ericsson Announces MBS-100 – Portable Bluetooth Speaker For Music Phones
Sony Ericsson have announced a new portable Bluetooth speaker, the MBS-100. Looking more like a wasp nest than a speaker, the peripheral is described by the partnership as the “perfect accessory for your Walkman phone or most other Bluetooth enabled music phones.”
The MBS-100 is the first portable speaker from Sony Ericsson with the ability to stream music wirelessly from your phone via Bluetooth. It enlists the latest A2DP streaming technology to deliver very compressed, but decent sound quality. The MBS-100 comes with an integrated rechargeable battery, with a claimed five hours of playtime on a single charge.
The Sony Ericsson Portable Bluetooth Speaker MBS-100 will be available in Japan this Christmas with a rollout scheduled for Europe and North America in the first half of 2008. No pricing has been announced.
