Deborah Foster Awarded $68,685.23 From RIAA

Deborah Foster was awarded her attorney fees stemming from a copyright infringement suit brough on by the RIAA. Foster originally demanded the fees after the RIAA dropped its claim in Capitol v. Foster after a long, misguided legal battle. US District Court Judge West decided in favor of Foster months ago, but now has affixed a specific dollar value amounting to $68,685.23.

“Based upon the foregoing, the court grants the defendant Deborah Foster’s application for attorneys’ fees to the extent that the defendant, as the prevailing party, shall recover her attorneys’ fees, including litigation costs and expenses, in the total amount of $68,685.23,” West concluded.

The RIAA is now targeting Deborah’s daughter, Amanda, for the infringement.
