Shure Seizes Counterfeit Products In Taipei Raid

A recent anti-counterfeiting raid in Taipei resulted in the seizure of a large quantity of counterfeit Shure products, marking the latest in a series of actions taken by Shure to curtail the distribution of counterfeit products throughout Asia and the rest of the world.

“This sends a clear message to counterfeiters that Shure is committed to protecting our brand and reputation,” said Sandy LaMantia, President and CEO of Shure. “We will not tolerate this activity and will do everything within our power to ensure that sub-standard products bearing our name stay out of the marketplace.”

With the support of a local Shure distributor, Hi-Pro Technology, and the Taiwan Police, Shure conducted several weeks of investigation and surveillance using a private investiagtor, which resulted in the raid on May 29.

“In order to ensure that all of our customers are receiving genuine Shure products and not being deceived by counterfeit traders, we will continue to globally enforce our intellectual property rights,” added LaMantia. “We encourage customers in Taiwan and throughout Asia to only purchase our professional and personal audio products from authorized Shure product dealers, who can be easily found using Shure’s website.”
