Moog Music has released Grandmother, a new semi-modular analog synthesizer with a built-in arpeggiator, sequencer, and spring reverb tank. Grandmother is a sonic playground that claims to harken back to Moog’s modular roots, where synthesis is not only about the end result, but the journey of discovery and experimentation. Grandmother’s semi-modular design allows a user of any skill-level to explore and experience the joys and magic of analog synthesis.
Grandmother’s circuits, spirit, and spring reverb are inspired by the classic Moog Modular Synthesizers designed by Bob Moog during the 60s and 70s. Grandmother also features an External Audio Input that invites users to inject sounds from other instruments directly into Grandmother’s analog filter, reverb and amplifier circuits. In addition, Grandmother includes an easy-to-use Arpeggiator and Sequencer for added enjoyment and programmable syncopation.
