Musikame Develops Augmented Reality DJ Technology For Latrama Release
The new album by Latrama – “Love & Projects” – uses a new Augmented Reality music technology to “bring an interactive experience to music CDs like fans haven’t ever seen before, allowing them to play and apply fx to the music using the CD as the user interface in front of their webcam.” Basically, you position the CD in front of your webcam and then “DJ” the choons by manipulating the disc in a variety of ways including filter sweeps.
“Love & Projects” claims to be the first music CD that uses this new augmented reality DJ app, which was developed by Musikame, a Spanish multimedia developer.
