Vestax Announces TR-1 – Traktor Pro Controller

Vestax has announced the TR-1, a new Native Instruments Traktor Pro controller, which is a collaboration between the Japanese DJ concern and DJ Hiroshi Watanabe aka, Kaito, Tread and Quadra. Watanabe, an established laptop Japanese DJ in Japan, designed the controller “from a professional’s point of view,” making it compact with real “in the mix tools” to take digital mixing to the next level.

Vestax development team and Hiroshi Watanabe reportedly worked together for 2 and half years, creating the TR-1 with a simple, compact and logical design which has reversed the concept of existing DJ controllers.

By combining their original DJ technology and Hiroshi Watanabe’s requests as much as possible, the knobs and switches have been tuned to provide the same touch of a DJ mixer, enabling the DJ to operate the controller with functional profession.
