Vienna Symphonic Library Releases Chamber Strings II

Vienna Symphonic Library has announced the sequel to their admired Chamber Instruments Collection, Chamber Strings II. The new library features the small muted sections of violins, violas, cellos, and double basses offering 16.5 GB of all-new articulations and sonic subtleties for the small string ensembles.

Chamber Strings II contains many of the playing techniques that the first collection includes, but played “con sordino” (with mutes). They lend themselves well to soft, intimate arrangements, and provide nuanced variations to the user’s orchestral pallet.

The Chamber Strings II collection offers various facets of short and sustained notes, crescendos and diminuendos, but also includes Vienna’s unique Interval Performances, such as legato, portamento, and trill performances. All of the recorded samples were performed by an accomplished ensemble of string players who have been lending their talents and their international experience to the Vienna Symphonic Library for years. This collection reflects their mastery over their instruments, bringing the art of chamber music alive in the composer’s personal studio.

Like all Vienna Instruments collections, Chamber Strings II is a sample-based virtual instrument that supports the formats VST (OS X, Win XP/Vista), RTAS (OS X), AU (OS X), and also works stand-alone. Registered users are eligible to download the free mixing and host software Vienna Ensemble 2.

Vienna Instruments’ Chamber Strings II Library costs $535 / €365 Standard; $215 / €145 Extended; and $750 / €510 for the Full Library. More information on Vienna Instruments Chamber Strings II Collection.
