Cybernetics & Glyph Announce Strategic Partnership
Cybernetics and Glyph have announced a strategic partnership to bring Cybernetics’ iSCSI backup systems to the audio and video channels. Cybernetics designed the miSAN product line to be a solid fit for audio and video backup needs. The miSAN V Series is a disk-to-disk-to-tape (D2D2T) system offering a streamlined solution to the ever growing problem of managing huge daily backups.
The miSAN V backs up terabytes of data from multiple computers to its secure RAID 5 array at speeds much faster than any tape drive can deliver. It then automates pushing data from the RAID 5 to the internal AIT or LTO tape drive with minimal management oversight from the user. The system is OS independent and can be connected via iSCSI using an existing ethernet port, or via traditional SCSI using a SCSI host bus adapter (HBA).
