Original Roland TB-303 / TR-606 Advertisement Reveals “The Future”
So everyone knows by now how the legendary TB-303 was somewhat of a sales flop disappointment for Roland when it first debuted. Too “computer sounding” to be a true bass accompaniment for guitarists and other musicians, the unit languished first on the shelves, and then in the bargain bins of many music retailers.
We recently came across the original Roland advertisement that ran in music publications way back when and thought our readers would enjoy the marketing copy…
