B&C Speakers Premiers Next-Generation 21-inch Subwoofer
B&C Speakers has premiered the 21SW150, its next-generation, 21-inch subwoofer. It features a neodymium ring magnet coupled with a 150mm (6-inch) split winding voice coil, that safely allows over 60mm (2.5-inch) of controlled peak-to-peak excursion. The newly engineered, ventilated chassis and double silicone spider reportedly keep things safe and cool.
The 21SW150 is rated at 1,500 W continuous power and 96 dB 1W/1m sensitivity, and weighs in at 40 lbs. (18 kg). It also features 3,000 W continuous program power capacity, 30-1,000 Hz response, 95 dB sensitivity, and an aluminum, demodulating ring to keep a low distortion figure.
