Panasonic Readies Fastest 32GB SDHC Flash Card
Panasonic has unveiled a new SD Flash card dubbed the RP-SDV32GU1K, catchy right? The new Secure Digital High Capacity (SDHC) card is reportedly the fastest to date with transfer rates at 20MB per second.
The high-speed “class 6” card is meant to go head on with SanDisk’s slightly slower 32GB SDHC, which transfers at 15MB per second, but costs half the price. For digital recorders that utilize SD cards for storage, this could significantly shorten transfer rates for off-loading files.
Panasonic’s 32-gigabyte card will be available in April for close to $700.
