Yahoo Music To Get The Axe?
After CEO, and original founder, Jerry Yang announced broad restructuring for the once-great Yahoo!, many industry watchers are wondering if their much-ballyhooed music division is going to get the boot.
Yang is currently evaluating the company’s current strategy and properties, and will be announcing new direction for the concern by Jan 2008. According to reports, Yang has singled out Yahoo! Music as a primary target. The subscription music division currently has about 300 staffers and is weighing down the company’s bottom line.
