IK Multimedia Set To Update SampleTank To Version 2.5
IK Multimedia will announce tomorrow that they are updating SampleTank to version 2.5. It includes several new features including an enhanced built-in multi-effects system with send and master effects, the addition of a high quality reverb from their solid Classik Studio Reverb, and the ability to read all “Powered by SampleTank” instruments.
Enhancements:
• Five send insert effects and 5 Master insert effects
• New Master Loop sync
• New Global Volume/Pan
• New selectable Portamento curves
• Includes high-quality reverb derived from Classik Studio Reverb
• Includes 200 new Combi patches based on SampleTank XL sound set
• Able to read any “Powered by SampleTank” instruments such as Sonik Synth 2, Miroslav Philharmonik and the upcoming SampleMoog, SampleTron and StudioPhonik
• Includes bonus sound disk in SampleTank XL (boxed version only)
IK has added an expanded FX system that now includes 5 new Master insert effects and 5 Send pre/post effects, in addition to the previous 5 effects per part. All are selectable among the expanded list of high quality effects (including DSP taken from AmpliTube and T-RackS). This means you can have up to 15 effects per part and up to 90 per instance.
The addition of a quality reverb derived from Classik Studio Reverb brings the overall list of available DSP effects in SampleTank 2.5 to 33. This reverb, which emulates the sound of high-end classic studio reverbs, will give your sound spaciousness and character. Other enhancements include the new Global Volume/Pan, Master Loop sync and the new selectable Portamento curves.
200 new Combi patches have been specially designed, based on the SampleTank 2 XL sound set, taking full advantage of the 16 multi-timbral parts of SampleTank 2.5. Additionally, the newly boxed version of SampleTank 2.5 XL will include an extra bonus sound disk for up to 600MB of sounds not previously included.
Able to read any “Powered by SampleTank” instruments. SampleTank 2.5 allows the immediate usage of sounds in Miroslav Philharmonik, Sonik Synth and the upcoming “Powered by SampleTank” Sonik Instruments: SampleMoog, SampleTron and StudioPhonik. This allows you to work from a single interface accessing thousands of sounds that can now be mixed, matched, combined and edited with the extended feature set of SampleTank 2.5.
IK Multimedia’s Sampletank 2.5 for Mac OS X (Universal Binary) and Windows (XP / Vista) is free for all registered SampleTank 2 L and XL users. It supports VST, RTAS, and Audio Units plug-in formats. The new boxed version of SampleTank 2.5 XL costs $499 / €419 and comes with 2DVDs with over 1,800 sounds, more than 6.5GB of samples, plus a bonus sound disk not previously included.
