Starplug Unveils Admiral Quadrature Overdrive Plug-In
Starplugs has unveiled Admiral, a distortion/overdrive VST plug-in effect for Windows. Starplugs claims that Admiral features a new Quadrature Overdrive algorithm that is designed to “give more power and strength” to your audio.
Starplugs give a number of interesting applications for Admiral. Including:
• bring lead vocals to the front of the mix
• add the needed crisp to backing vocals
• give drums more punch and a tighter beat
• make sounds more precise and powerful
• get the right balance for synth sounds and guitars
• give acoustic instruments a more defined attack for a better groove
Admiral has a Soft function which adds warmth and harmonic noise to round off the edges of digital recordings. However, it’s the Mighty function that sounds most interesting to us. Starplugs claims it can add extreme distortion to synthetic sounds for massive power and destruction.
