Tone2 Updates FireBird To Version 1.2

Tone2 has updated FireBird to 1.2. Tone2 claims that FireBird’s new Harmonic Content Morphing (HCM) synthesis provides a powerful, unique, and innovative synthesis architecture for next-generation sounds that have never heard before. It can sound like other synthesis methods (additive, subtractive, AM, FM, phase distortion, supersaw, vocoder, sync, analogue, digital), like natural instruments (piano, brass, …) or completely unique.

Changes In Version 1.2:

• Additional effect: surround encoder (encodes a Dolby ProLogic 2 compatible surround signal into stereo mix)
• Faster preset switching, reduced CPU spikes
• msvcrt71.dll and gdiplus.dll no longer necessary to run FireBird
• More detailed automation parameter values and displays
• Soundbanks are also installed as separate fxb files
• Improved host and soundcard compatibility
• Lots of small fixes and improvements

FireBird 1.2 will set you back €59 / $69. More information on FireBird 1.2.
