../ 2005 NAMM Report: Mackie
Mackie's sexy new X.400 Digital X Bus Mixer
provided a glimpse into the future. The new X.400 has 24 more channels of I/O than the X.200 with
dual processors and 24 Mix/Surround busses. The dual 15" touch screens
sport a Star Trek like visual interface that is intuitive and lightning fast. We especially appreciated the surround sound placement
field screen, which is not only precise, but very musical.
The Universal Audio UAD-1 Powered plug-in card is built-in with several additional slots available for every imaginable analog/digital
option. The X.400 also sports cherry wood side panels adding a nice organic flavor to the advanced technology.
