../ The Top 100 Female DJs Announced
SheJay, a global network of female DJs, producers and promoters, posted
their top 100 Female DJs on the planet based on a recent poll.
The top slot went to DJ Rap who started her career playing Drum 'n' Bass, but now
mostly plays house music and breaks.
Crazy, Sexy, Cool...DJ Rap is named top Female DJ of 2006
The list was compiled by 30,000 votes in two months of polling. The 100 top spinners
came from all genres, all parts of the globe and SheJay was excited to "see a comprehensive list that represents a broad spectrum."
The top ten female mixers are:
1) DJ RAP
2) LISA LASHES
3) MISS KITTIN
4) MISSTRESS BARBARA
5) DJ IRENE
6) ANNE SAVAGE
7) BABY ANNE
8) DJ HEATHER
9) SANDRA COLLINS
10) MAGDA

The Future: It's great to see sites like SheJay promoting DJs, who just
happen to be female, in a respectful and dignified manner. Hopefully we'll see more sites like SheJay and less of Girl DJs Gone Wild.
