Stephen Marley has finally come out of the shadows of his famous father and charismatic older brother Ziggy to deliver an intimate,
yet widely accessible solo effort Mind Control on the Tuff Gong imprint. Combining Dance Hall, Reggae, and his own electronic
take on hip-hop, Marley points his listeners to the future, without forgetting his past. From the instantly catcy Traffic Jam featuring his
half-brother Damian (Jr. Gong), to the delicate Lonely Avenue in which you'll need a voiceprint to differentiate him from his father's trippy best,
Stephen Marley is a force to be reckoned with. This could be the best Marley offspring album to date. Buy it now!

Gabriel Ananda is set to release his full-length, Bambusbeats on March 19th. The new release has a mature sound, but falls away from his well-known melodic style to venture into new territories. To celebrate the release his label is graciously giving away one of the album's best cuts, Lamakov as a free download. This artistic minimal journey builds to a nice crescendo before melting in your mouth and then your pants...

Everything You Need to Know In One Place

100% Red Book compliant CD burning complete with CD-TEXT, PQ editing, ISRC codes, a DDP export option, and more. Peak Pro 6 adds even more functionality,

Virsyn
has released Poseidon, a new soft synth with their F-Domain Synthesis. At first sight Poseidon looks like a simple structured analog Oscillator-Filter
synthesizer, but the real power Virsyn claims is working under the hood: The spectral modelling sound generator of CUBE. The variable slope Filter is a
completely new design based on our unique F-domain synthesis.
Virsyn's uncluttered Poseidon interface
Spectral model oscillator allows you to select a basic sound model from over hundred options and control the temporal evolution of a complex sound
model with time stretching, manual time control and freezing. High level controls allow for changing the spectral shape, the harmonicity and balances
the level of residual noise and spectral amount of the oscillator model...

Stanton
has released two new uninspiring products for the DJ market that
bolsters our recent story
on the troubled manufacturer. The S.300 Tabletop CD Player supports MP3 playback and comes in a completely mundane chassis, which the concern calls
"the stylish design that is pure Stanton." (We don't know what the crew at Stanton has been smoking, but the S.300 below is anything but "stylish." –Ed.)
Stanton calls the S.300 "stylish" - we call it ugly
In addition, Stanton unveiled the T.90 USB, a professional quality turntable with high-torque direct drive motor and a USB output. With Key Lock
built-in, DJs can adjust the tempo of a record without affecting pitch, while USB and S/PDIF digital outputs make the T.90 USB great for archiving vinyl...

Roland
Looking more like a tape recorder than a sound module, Roland has debuted the SonicCell, which features a dual SRX expansion bay, built-in USB audio interface,
and ability to play SMFs and WAV/AIFF/MP3 files.
The new Roland SonicCell tape recorder sound module
Roland claims the SonicCell is "a dream for computer-based musicians and live performers who seek a compact,
integrated pro sound module and USB audio-interface solution." A dream?? Our dream wouldn't include the industrial design team at
Radio Shack creating the
chassis layout...
