Our man Satoshi Tomiie kicks off
Renaissance's new 3D compilation series with a bang. The release consists of three CDs, each one with a different flava: Club, Studio and Home. Satoshi, known for his
influential label, Saw Recordings and his blistering live shows (The Saw Recordings party
at the WMC is a must!), leads off with the Club mix showcasing his live mixing skills with the latest tracks. Studio is Mr. Tomiie at his finest, remxing
and chopping up his own tracks mixed with some of his favorite ear candy. And Home is a more downtempo mix of some of his favorite tracks including Miles Davis and
Aphrodisiac. Kudos to Renaissance for leading off their new series with a true pioneer.

../ Moog Introduces Little Phatty Synth
1,200 Bob Moog Tribute Editions To Be Made Available
Moog's hand-built
Little Phatty is a brand new monophonic
analog synthesizer featuring 2 Ultra-stable Oscillators, 1 Low Pass Classic Moog Ladder Filter, 4-Stage Analog Envelope Generators,
and 100 user editable presets. The Little Phatty contains a 100 percent analog signal path, a 37-note keyboard with
+/-2 Octave Transpose, and Moog's proprietary Real Analog Control (RAC). RAC is a proprietary technology enabling the
performer to directly interface with the analog circuitry via the knobs on the control panel, without any digital processing.
The Bob Moog Little Phatty Tribute Edition
Little Phatty was designed with portability, expressive
and intuitive playability, and the timeless quality only found in a Moog. "We wanted to offer musicians a true analog synth with
a simple, clean front panel, in a visually stunning package, at a reasonable price point. I feel we accomplished all four objectives,"
states Mike Adams, Moog Music President.
Moog will initially release a special, limited edition run
of 1,200 individually numbered Bob Moog Tribute Edition synths which feature special Moog wood side panels, a Bob Moog signature
plate across the front and rear, and some Bob Moog keepsakes. The Little Phatty measures 26.75" X 14.75" X 6.75" and weighs in at 22lb.
It will be available sometime this summer at $1475. For
more information and to order directly hit MoogMusic.com
The Future: The name-challenged "Little Phatty" is the first
product that Moog Music is releasing since Bob's passing. Hopefully the sexy, sleek design and fat sound will eclipse it's dopey name.
