Numark Announces X5 – Two-Channel Digital Mixer & M6 USB – Four-Channel DJ Mixer

Numark has announced the X5, a new two-channel digital mixer, and the M6 USB, its new four-channel USB DJ mixer. The X5 was designed to complement the company’s V7 motorized turntable software controller.

While Numark designed X5 to fit between a pair of V7s, the two-channel mixer is compatible with all turntables, CD players and other sources. X5 employs the same CP PRO crossfader as the one in the company’s NS7 motorized digital DJ controller. This 24-bit, high-resolution mixer contains A/D and D/A circuitry and look-ahead limiters at the master, booth, and headphone outputs to deliver virtually lossless, clip-proof audio performance.

Performance DJs will appreciate the fit and finish of X5 along with the mixer’s professional touches, including crossfader and line-fader slope and reverse controls, channel Transform triggers, repositionable phono/line switches, three-band combination EQ/kills on each channel and mini-crossfader cueing control. High quality connections including balanced analog, S/PDIF optical and coaxial digital outputs ensure optimal transmission of DJs’ performances to amplification and recording systems.

M6 USB enables virtually any DJ to step up to a four-channel mixer. This club-style design not only works with any standard audio sources, but it also has a USB computer connection. When connected to a DJ’s Mac or PC, the plug-and-play connection enables DJs to mix in audio in from music-player software and record their set into virtually any audio recording application.

The M6 USB houses three-band EQ and LED metering per channel, a replaceable, assignable crossfader with slope control and balanced outputs. In addition, M6 USB features a dedicated XLR microphone channel and a secondary mic input on channel four.

The Numark X5 will be available from musical instrument and DJ retailers in Q3, 2010. No pricing has been announced. No pricing or availability has been announced for the M6 USB. More information on Numark’s new mixers.
