Motorola Announces Ringtone Studio
Motorola’s StudioMOTO allows mobile users to create their own ringtones and compose video mash-ups in a nicely designed studio-like environment. “Tech-savvy consumers want to move beyond everyday communication on their mobiles,” said Kathleen Finato, senior director of North American Marketing at Motorola. “With StudioMOTO, users can bring their own individuality to their mobile communications – illustrating their thoughts and emotions without feeling flat.” The do-it-yourself StudioMOTO is sure to appeal to mutimedia savvy users who want to control their mobile experience.
StudioMOTO also features multimedia from several artists and partners including House of Blues, which is serving live tracks for users to download and tinker with. RollingStone is also part of the offering, rounding out the experience with a batch of artist stories, photos and videos. Meanwhile, StudioMOTO is serving video clips from artists Bang Sugar Bang, Dave the Hustler, Paco and The 88, generating viral distribution possibilities. The resulting video creations can be sent to friends via email or saved on the users’ GSM handset.
