Erica Synths has announced the AcidBox II, an enhanced version of their Russian synthesizer emulation of the Polivoks Voltage Controlled Filter (VCF). The small desktop unit is built around rare Russian ICs that were used in the original Polivoks synthesizer back in the 1980s, providing big resonance sweeps.
Erica claims AcidBox II has significant improvements compared to the first version, including a redesigned LFO with new waveforms and audio rate modulation capabilities, built-in analog noise generator, balanced output and others enhancements.
» Voltage Controlled Filter inspired by Polivoks VCF architecture
» Integrated circuits used in the original Polivoks
» Balanced 1/4″ output
» Internal white noise generator
» Internal LFO – Six waveforms & inverted waveforms
» Audio rate modulation
» Tap tempo
» External sync for LFO frequency
» Divide and multiply LFO frequency (can multiply/divide ext. sync too!)
» Tap tempo and LFO output indication LEDs
» Universal power supply included
Erica Synths AcidBox II costs €250 and is available now.
