inMusic Brands Buys Rights To Denon Professional, Marantz Professional & Denon DJ Brands

inMusic has purchased the rights to the Denon Professional, Marantz Professional, and Denon DJ brands from D&M Holdings. The acquisitions join the Numark conglomerate, which includes Akai Professional, Alesis, Alto Professional, ION Audio, M-Audio, AIR Music Technology, and Mixmeister. Financial details of the transaction are not being revealed.

“By adding Denon Professional, Marantz Professional, and Denon DJ to our family of brands, we’re strengthening our base of DJ assets while extending our footprint in the professional market to the commercial installation and contractor segments,” said Jack O’Donnell, owner and CEO, inMusic. “We’re excited about the products and technologies developed by these established brands, and look forward to writing the next chapter in the D&M Pro story by creating new, innovative products for Denon Professional, Marantz Professional, and Denon DJ customers.”

inMusic did not buy the brands, they simply acquired the exclusive rights to all current Denon Professional, Marantz Professional, and Denon DJ products, as well as the exclusive right to produce new products for the professional and DJ markets under those brands in perpetuity. The D&M, Denon and Marantz brands remain the property of D&M Holdings, who will continue to use them to produce products designed for use by mainstream consumers.

Current products will continue to be manufactured using the same vendors that have been used by D&M in the past. However, new products will be developed by inMusic’s own team with input by D&M to ensure the same level of quality and reliability that Denon Professional, Marantz Professional and Denon DJ are known for in the market. As far as D&M employees, key members of the existing Denon Professional, Marantz Professional and Denon DJ staff will be joining the inMusic team.
