Shoulda Woulda Coulda Unleashes Polychord App

Shoulda Woulda Coulda has released Polychord, a new music app for iOS. Should Woulda Coulda consists of partners Gregory Wieber, a visual artist and code expert, and music producer/engineer Hugo Nicolson, who has worked with Radiohead, Primal Scream and on movie soundtracks such as the Ocean’s 11 trilogy.

Polychord

In typical two man shop fashion, they haven’t really given us much information to go on except to say that Polychord “is an instrument that a complete novice can play in minutes, or a consummate professional can add to their arsenal of creative tools.” Having worked in the music business for 25 years, Hugo was frustrated by the fact that he still could not play a note (didn’t anyone suggest piano lessons? Or did he just think he would wake up one day and be Mozart?? —Ed.). As this soporific tale goes Hugo suggested to Greg one day when they were snuggling in a coffee shop, that they try make an instrument he might actually be able to play. A few months later, a much thinner and paler Greg emerged from his workshop with the Polychord. Nutty!

Shoulda Woulda Coulda’s Polychord is available now in the Apple App Store for $10 bucks. More information on Polychord.
