Korg Announces Classic Soft Synth Downloads
Korg has announced the release of software recreations of several classic Korg synths. Each soft synth utilizes Korgs proprietary CMT (Component Modeling Technology) to reproduce the sound and response of the original. CMT also reproduces the character and response curve of each parameter, for results that claim to be faithful to the original model.

Also available for download is the MDE-X Effects Suite. Originally part of the first Korg Legacy Collection, this suite provides 19 effects derived from Korg’s digital recorders, workstations and synthesizers, and is designed to run as a stand-alone program or as a VST, AU or RTAS Plug-in.
As a bonus, a free Legacy Cell download is also available for those who purchase both the MS-20 and Polysix, along with the MDE-X Effects Suite. Legacy Cell enables combinations of the MS-20 and Polysix synthesizers to be blended with two insert effects and two master effects, and used as a single software synthesizer that provides new sounds and textures.
