PowerFX Releases Fairlight CMI Legacy Refill For Reason

PowerFX has released the Fairlight CMI Legacy Refill for Propellerheads Reason. This collection contains an array of recordings of the original sounds from the Fairlight CMI II; the ground-breaking sampling based workstation.

The Refill contains 644 MB and 2000 sounds, including all of the Fairlight’s 33 eight-inch factory discs. To celebrate the Fairlight feel, all new samples are labeled and arranged in virtual eight-inch disks as well. The sound quality is mixed from 8 bit ultra rare up to full dynamics using clever programming, re-sampling and new inventions on sample playback made possible by Reason’s NNXT sampler

This library honors the invention of Kim Ryrie and Peter Vogel, as used and created a myth by Vince Clarke, Yello, Yazoo, Pet Shop Boys, Scritti Politti, China Crisis, Peter Gabriel, Nine Inch Nails, Art of Noise and many more. Developed by Reason guru Patrick Fridh, aka Bitley, his programming skill and passion for the instrument and the era are in full effect.

PowerFX’s Fairlight CMI Legacy Refill costs $69 and is available now. More information on PowerFX Fairlight CMI Legacy Refill.
