Over 50% Of New 2009 US Cars Have iPod Integration

Over half of all 2009 US-bound automobiles will have a sanctioned option for the Apple iPod. This surpasses 2008’s 39% proliferation, which many thought was quite high. We’re not talking 3.5mm Minijack connection either. These stats represent true 30 pin connector iPod action.

Phil Magney, vice president of automotive research for iSuppli qualifies the inclusion with “the automotive industry is at the point where in-vehicle technologies, or the lack of them, are influencing sales.”
