AKG Acoustics Moves In On Crown

AKG Acoustics has acquired worldwide distribution rights for Crown microphones. Both companies are owned by Harman International, which bought AKG in 1993 and later purchased Crown in 2000.

Crown is best known for its amplifiers and system control products for audio markets worldwide, although some of its mics, most noticeably the CM-311A headset mic, used in recent years by acts such as Van Halen, U2, Cream and The Cheetah Girls, can be found on concert stages around the world.
