Steinberg Feels Heat From Apple’s Logic Pro Studio, Lowers Cubase 4 Price In North America
After reducing prices in Europe, Steinberg has put Cubase 4 on the same diet for North America. It took longer than expected, but Steinberg has responded to Apple’s repositioning of Logic and dropped Cubase 4 to $599.99, effective immediately. Whether or not the price reduction stimulates sales, is yet to be seen, since Logic Pro Studio is still $100 less, and quite an attractive deal for Mac users with the immense amount of bundled software and plug-ins.
Steinberg has also announced a special rebate for customers who have purchased full retail versions of Cubase 4 between January 1 and June 30, 2008.
