Ministry Of Sound Partners With Brightcove For New Video Portal
Ministry of Sound (MoS) is partnering with Brightcove to turn the dance record label’s catalog of more than 1000 music videos, and other visual content, into online advertising revenue. Brightcove, who specializes in online video delivery, has already developed commercial online-video mechanisms for Universal Music Group, Sony BMG and Warner Music Group.
The partnership will make use of MoS’ archives of more than 1,000 exclusive music videos, its mini documentaries, DJ interviews, plus coverage of its branded festival and club events. Brightcove is developing the backend to an all-new, ad-supported, online-video entertainment portal dubbed MoSTV. It will be also feature a Brightcove-developed video widget application for viral dissemination via social-networking sites such as FaceBook, MySpace and Bebo.
