Reppo II Backpack Boombox Concept Emerges

Joonas Saaranen an industrial design student from Berlin, Germany, developed the Reppo II, a hard-sheel, backpack boombox. The working prototype contains a battery-powered amplifier and built-in car speakers and is meant to be attached to an iPod so that you can annoy your fellow humans where ever you may roam.

Compared to some of the soft backpack boomboxes on the market, the prototype has reportedly quality sound, thanks to the resonance of the hard shell, but comfort may be a question. Although just in the development stage, Saaranen welcomes manufacturing inquiries.
